Seven month’s between blogs? How can that be? Well I know how that can be, but I have decided not to go there. Instead, like a good old friend, I’m just going to pick up where I left off.
Thanks to everyone who responded to the Band Instrument Shortage Blog. Because of your support, every child in Hollister has access to musical instrument this school year. I’m looking forward to hearing them play this week at Ridgemark Golf and Country Club here in Hollister.
Speaking of children, I had a wonderful time reading my children’s picture book, Monkey Made of Sockies, to the little ones at the Presbyterian Preschool. The children seemed to enjoy the book, and did a great job singing the chorus of the Monkey Made of Sockies song. Why only the chorus? Well I’ve not completed the rest of the song! Anyway, it is fun to see a whole new generation enjoy the sock monkey.
As for generations of sock monkey fans, I’m heading off to Rockford, Illinois to the Sock Monkey Madness Festival in April. I’ll devote a blog to the festival when I return. Thanks for helping me bust the blogger’s block.
