Announcing Twins!

In the spring of 2011, Daphne’s Headcovers President Jane Spicer called and said she thought it was time for Rake and Mashie Made of Sockies to have a baby.

I was excited! I thought it was a wonderful idea, and went on to design a headcover that would be good for a hybrid or putter.

But I couldn’t design just one.

I’m a twin, my husband’s a twin, and well I just thought that Rake and Mashie ought to have twins too.

So I sent Jane two sets of fraternal twins, thinking she would at least like one of the headcover designs.

Here’s the first set:

And here’s set number two:

Daphne’s once again worked their magic and brought my designs to life.

I just received my samples over the weekend, and I have to tell you that when I opened the box, I just grinned and grinned and grinned! They are adorable!

Birth Announcement for Twin Monkey Made of Sockies

In case you are wondering about their names, the entire Monkey Made of Sockies clan is named after ancient golf clubs.

They are designed to fit Utility Hybrid Woods and Mallet Type Putters. They are also a great headcover for Utility club heads, Small Fairway woods and Junior clubs.

Here are a few shots of the whole family to give you an idea of their size:

The twins are debuting at the PGA Merchandise Show this month. But you don’t have to go to the show, they are available right now online via Amazon:

After the show the twins will be available globally, just like Mashie.

Rake is the Dad with the tartan tam , and he  is available exclusively at Golfsmith.

Mashie is the  Mom, with pom poms everywhere!  She’s available at major golf retailers all over the globe and online.

Huge thanks  to you for making Mashie the #1 selling headcover at Daphne’s Headcovers!

I believe in giving back as does Daphne’s Headcovers. A portion of the proceeds from Rake goes to help children via Gabriel’s Angels.

And a portion of the proceeds for Mashie goes to help children with Prader-Willi.

We are still searching for the best charity partner for the twins. I’ll let you know as soon we have a name for you!
