Ever Sing The Blues

This song came to me  in the middle of November, mostly intact, but it took it’s time emerging.  It appears to be an interaction between two people, but it’s  actually about a conversation I had with myself :O)

Ever Sing The Blues

You face east and watch it rise

And when it hits the west

You go inside and find a light

Before it does the rest

If you don’t ever sing the blues

How can sadness leave you

If you don’t

Ever ever sing the blues

I face life and sometimes cry

And though I do my best

To go inside and find the bright

Here’s what I don’t get

If you don’t ever sing the blues

How can sadness leave you

If you don’t

Ever ever sing the blues

I’ll paint, I’ll sing, rearrange the house

It hurts, come clean

You don’t have to live there but you’ve

got to let it out

If you don’t ever sing the blues

How can sadness leave you

If you don’t

Ever ever sing the blues

If you don’t ever sing the blues

How can sadness leave you

If you don’t

Ever ever sing the blues
