I Thought Wrong

posted in: Art 4

I almost didn’t enter my abstract, “The Confession”, in the Yosemite Western Artists, 47th Annual, Tri-County Competition and Exhibition, because sometimes people don’t “get it” if my work doesn’t look like ‘something’. But I love the painting, so I entered it anyway.

On May 9th, it won 2nd Place in the oil painting category, and my “Phoenix” painting won Honorable Mention in the same category.

I thought wrong, but I felt and acted right. I’m so glad I followed my heart instead of my head 🙂

Huge shout out to my good friends Carolyn Hartling,Sandee Scott, Gina Mims and Mary Beth Harrison. They are all award winners too and Mary Beth won first place!

The show is at Circle Galleruns through June 28th. Click here for more info.
