I wrote this modified blues piece, Stuck in Traffic, to work through some old baggage I needed to release.
The image below is one of my photos taken at the Hollister Downtown Association’s Street Festival a few years back. I grinned when I saw this pic. The scene reminded me of old stuff I had stacking up that really needed to go bye bye 🙂
I love the quirky nature of the piece and hope you do too.
Stuck in Traffic
Stuck in traffic
Stuck in traffic
Stuck in traffic and I’m lost
Stuck in traffic
Stuck in traffic
Stuck in traffic and I’m lost
And I’m lost
And I’m lost
Lord please free me from this box
Make it graphic
Make it graphic
Make it graphic for me boss
Make it graphic
Make it graphic
Make it graphic for me boss
Help me see
Help me see
Help me see the exit please
When you quit looking at the pain
You’ll find that the terrain
Has more avenues than chains
Oh It’s right there
Yep it’s right there
When I quite looking at the pain
I found that the terrain
Had more avenues than chains
Oh it’s right there
Yep it’s right there
Thanks for helping
You set me free
Stuck in traffic
Stuck in traffic
Stuck in traffic I was lost
Stuck in traffic
Stuck in traffic
Stuck in traffic I was lost
I was lost
I was lost
Lord you freed me
From that box
